Why is the first image on this blog that of a selection of cows? (I’m a city boy and don’t know what a group of cows is called so I’ll go with selection)
Well, essentially I was only at The Castle Grove Hotel for a mere 5 minutes before I was accused of arousing the cattle. As I raised my camera the creatures gathered, coming closer and becoming more numerous. Some at the back starting jumping up and down. I was soon greeted by someone who told me to step away. That I was arousing the animals and they could jump the fence and wreak havoc. Then they’d all have to be shot.
I considered this and remembered today’s bride was a vegan after some consideration decided it would be only proper to stop jeopardising the cattle and got on with the job at hand.
That job was to capture the incredible wedding of two wonderful people on a glorious Summer’s day. As I write this blog in the depths of Winter, huddled by a small fire* I feel warmed just looking at these images. Everything was natural, relaxed and fun. The way it should be. Thank you Karla and Allen for having me along.
