Shooting Brigid & Karl’s epic Cliffs of Moher Elopement this June was so much fun. On our early Skype calls, Karl had mentioned he wanted some epic shots and I think we definitely ticked that box here. Karl & Brigid brought their friends and families all the way over from Texas for an unforgettable few days on the stunning west coast of Ireland.
The guys got ready at Hotel Doolin and then we went of to some nearby ruins (as you do) for an intimate first look. Just Brigid, Karl and star Quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. To explain: I had talked through the First Look location and plan with Brigid that morning and set the scene to what would be a beautiful moment where Karl would turn around and see his stunning bride.
“That’s fine” says she, “but just to let you know I’m going to be wearing a cardboard cut out of Nick Foles”
“Sorry, what? Who?” says I.
“Nick Foles, the star Quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles” says she.
“Right so” says I. This is a couple who know what they want and know how to push each others buttons and that’s to be celebrated.
First look done and Nick Foles’ head put into the back of the car, it was off to the incredible vistas of the Cliffs of Moher for an unforgettable mountainside ceremony followed by an incredible party in Vaughan’s Pub in Kilfenore. Such an incredible day!
It was brilliant to work once again with the fab team at Waterlily Weddings. Especially Orla, who stopped me from going do a different Vaughan’s Pub. Which would have been annoying 🙂 Thanks Orla!
