Introduction
Hi! I’m John and I’m a Dublin wedding photographer. I’ve been shooting weddings since 2015 and I’m delighted to bring you a list of the best wedding venues near Dublin in 2021. Whether you’re literally JUST engaged or have been putting the planning on the long finger, I hope this list is helpful to you. I would love to chat more, before or after you have chosen your venue and you will find a contact form at the bottom of the page, should you have any questions at all. I have shot at all of these venues and all photos shown are my own.
I’ve done some research to make your task a little easier and have compiled the following info for each venue:
In some cases I will be linking to specific blog posts of real weddings or even detailed venue pages where I can show off much more imagery from each venue and lots more helpful information.
How to choose the best Dublin Wedding Venues for YOU.
The main factors that will help you decide your venue will be of course budget and guest capacity. Once you have decided on those elements it’s really down to your personal tastes and you may not really be able to shorten your list down until you have physically seen a few venues. My couples will often tell me how they “fell in love” with their venue as soon as they set foot on the grounds. Some had to see a few and some were lucky enough to find their dream venue first time.
Getting Married in Dublin City Centre
I’ve published a separate blog listing the very Best Dublin City Wedding Venues so if you’re looking to hold a stylish city wedding, look no further than that blog post.

Questions you should ask your venue during your consultation.
One Fab Day have published a brilliant guide with a large number of questions you could ask your venue coordinator before, during and after your site visit: https://www.onefabday.com/ie/wedding-venue-question-checklist/
I’ve picked out some of the more important ones here:
- Is your venue available for exclusive use?
- Are there any changes planned to the building before the wedding?
- Are the premises licensed for legal ceremonies?
- Can we throw confetti?
- Is a corkage fee charged on wine?
- Is a complimentary menu tasting included?
- Does the venue have a PA/Sound System setup for speeches or a projector?
- How late will the bar be open?
